Centre for Next Generation Localisation (CNGL) releases guide urging secondary students to consider language and technology for a potential career
Crafted by Sean Sherlock T.D., Minister for Research and Innovation, the guide is an effort to maintain Ireland’s leadership position in the multi-million euro localization and global services sector. The guide is being distributed to all secondary schools in Ireland this week and features profiles of top professionals, companies and courses to help students get on the right track for a career in localization.
Speaking at the launch, Minister Sherlock stated “Many of the world’s largest software and web companies co-ordinate their localization activities in Ireland and the sector contributes an estimated €680 million annually to the Irish economy. It is imperative that we highlight the opportunities available to our young people in this sector.”
