Lingoport has released Globalyzer 4.8.5, which adds Globalyzer Lite to the Lingoport Suite. Globalyzer and the Lingoport Suite give developers and managers continuous proactive support for finding internationalization (i18n) and Localization (L10n) issues in source code as it is developed.
With software development practices emphasizing rapid feature releases, it is challenging to support software globalization requirements and activities in every sprint. The Lingoport Suite integrates with development practices so that both i18n and L10n are automated and managed into daily development, rather than waiting on iterative testing or manual localization tasks later in a sprint or release. This speeds up time to global releases, eliminates globalization backlogs and ultimately offers global customers new features faster and with no headaches for the development and localization teams.
New for this release is the lightweight, developer-friendly Globalyzer Lite client. It checks source code for i18n issues before it even hits the development repository. Developers can run it from within Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA or Visual Studio and other IDEs. It can also be scripted to run and report as an automated job during check-in.
The least expensive and fastest time to fix i18n issues is during the daily development workflow, and Globalyzer Lite makes that easy.
I18n quality is important, as global customer user experience is directly dependent upon the software behaving elegantly for every language and locale requirement.
“Globalyzer Lite was developed in partnership with some of our largest enterprise customers which are in turn some of the world’s most recognized technology brands. They wanted a simple deployment method to bring awareness and the ability to find and fix issues right to the developer’s daily workflow rather than getting caught in iterative localization testing and bug fixing,” explained Adam Asnes, Lingoport’s CEO.
