Lingoport’s Globalyzer puts internationalization (i18n) in the flow of new software development

Lingoport announced a new release of its Globalyzer software, helping software development teams create new features and software that’s internationalized for global customers.

Before you can translate or localize software, it has to be internationalized or made able to dynamically support multiple local cultural formats and languages. Over 50% of localization errors are actually caused by poor internationalization (abbreviated as i18n) rather than translation issues.

This new Globalyzer release features:

  • New ways to show developers i18n as they write code, including i18n reports in their commits and pull requests.

  • Command Center, an entirely new management and administrative UI, simplifies onboarding, managing, and viewing i18n progress.

  • Enhanced Security and version management

“Internationalization bugs can have a long and costly life in a code base. Developers need to see i18n issues while they develop if they are going to be addressed before translation.” explained Adam Asnes, Lingoport’s CEO, “That can be a big challenge in the enterprise, across teams and product lines. If you see an issue during development, it’s usually quick and easy to fix. We always aim to make i18n and localization processing automatic and easy to implement, so it’s a natural extension of software development.”
